Are the Orlando Magic better off without Dwight Howard?

The season is underway and the Orlando Magic look to be making the most of their newly formulated roster as they have started out with a 2-1 record. Orlando Magic’s New Head Coach, Jacque Vaughn, doesn’t appear to be missing the All-Star Center Dwight Howard as he has quickly replaced him with a hidden talent in Nikola Vucevic.

Nikola Vucevic has a tremendous upside and appears to be an up and coming Center in the NBA. While the Magic would have a tough time defeating the top teams in the NBA (Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics), they can definitely hang with the rest of them.

Many critics expected the Magic’s season to begin much like the Los Angeles Lakers did, with a losing record, but the Magic appear to be looking to the future and not dwelling on the loss of Dwight Howard.

Jacque Vaughn at first glance looks like the right fit for the coaching even though many believed this was the perfect position for Brian Shaw and other NBA Assistant Coaches.

The Magic look to be putting their best foot forward and possibly can expect a winning record this season.
