The acquisition proved to be one of the biggest moves by the Clippers organization as now they know they have a franchise coach they can rely on for years to come. Well the good news keeps coming for the Clippers as Chris Paul announced via Twitter that he will be re-signing with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Paul agreed to a five-year, $107 million deal with the Clippers. Paul can opt out of the final year of the contract.
Paul led the Clippers to a franchise-record 56 victories last season and averaged 16.9 points, 9.7 assists. 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals in 2012-13.
Many will look for Doc Rivers and the franchise to make a push for Dwight Howard along with other big names in the Free Agency to join Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
We expect Chris Paul to be making a big push for Dwight Howard to join him in LA with the Clippers.
