Dwight-less Magic Blowout Pistons

The Magic took the floor with an unusual starting lineup but seemed to come out firing and not the type of firing Van Gundy will see at the end of the season. The Magic quickly gained a lead behind JJ Reddick’s break out game.

Magic fans really saw a star being born as Reddick confidently stroked several three’s and surprised everyone in attendance with a strong drive to the basket. Glen Davis followed his lead and had an impressive 8 pts 10 rebounds by the start of the 2nd quarter.

The Magic’s defensive was bailed out by the poor shooting of the Pistons, but Tayshaun Prince seem to have his way with Orlando.

For the first time all season, Van Gundy took out all his starters and went to his bench. The Magic bench provided a spark especially with the performance of Daniel Orton and Ish Smith.

The Magic were able to fight off a late 3rd quarter run by Detroit and win the game with a score of 119-89.
