Stoudemire To See Hand Specialist after Game 2 flip out, Expected To Miss Game 3

New York Knicks' Amare Stoudemire leaves American Airlines Arena with his left arm in a sling after an NBA basketball game against the Miami Heat in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs in Miami, Monday, April 30, 2012. The Heat defeated the Knicks 104-94. Amar’e Stoudemire can add another injury to his career, but this one happens to be self inflicted.

After The Knicks’ 104-94 loss to the Miami Heat, Stoudemire smashed the glass door of the fire extinguisher casing on his way to the locker room. His left hand required 15 stitches and left the arena with his hand/arm in a sling.

After this careless act, he will most likely be inactive for Game 3 Thursday in New York.

Amar’e Stoudemire will go see a hand specialist to determine if he damaged a ligament or tendon.
