The Dolphins have re-signed WR Brian Hartline and QB Matt Moore. Many Dolphins are excited to keep the young talent in house, but some have some questions whether or not this will interfere with their pursuit of Free Agent Mike Wallace. Many analyst have the Dolphins the front runner for Mike Wallace but, cap space may be an issue if they pursue Wallace as he will be looking for top dollar.
The 6-2, 199-pound Hartline has appeared in 60 games in his career with 38 in a starting role. In 2012, he appeared all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded a career year with 74 receptions for 1,083 yards and one touchdown. During his four year career in Miami, Hartline has totaled 183 catches for 2,753 yards and six touchdowns. He holds Miami’s single-game record for receiving yards with 253 which came against Arizona on September 30, 2012. Hartline was originally selected by Miami in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
The 6-3, 216-pound Moore appeared in two games for the Dolphins in 2012 as the primary backup to Ryan Tannehill and completed 11 of the 19 passes he attempted for 131 yards and one touchdown. In his career, Moore has started 25 of the 37 games in which he has played and completed 448 of 758 passes for 5,268 yards with 33 touchdowns, 26 interceptions and a passer rating of 80.5. Moore originally joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent from the Carolina Panthers on July 29, 2011.
