Why Dwight Howard Wanted To Go To The Brooklyn Nets

If the Opening Scene of The Sopranos wasn’t enough, Dwight wanted to go to the Brooklyn Nets after he recognized their off-season commitment to bring in stars and re-brand the organization.

The Brooklyn Nets successfully traded for Joe Johnson and got All-Star Guard Deron Williams to re-sign with them. The list didn’t stop there, Thanks to the guys at Sheridan Hoops, The Brooklyn Nets also added F Gerald Wallace, C Brook Lopez, F Kris Humphries, F Mirza Teletovic, F Reggie Evans, G MarShon Brooks, G C.J. Watson, G Keith Bogans, and Veteran Guard Jerry Stackhouse.

Lets see the Orlando Magic top that…. Yeah Right..

I think Gilbert Arenas is still smiling after his insane contract that the Magic picked up.

While I am a fellow Dwight Howard Hater, I can’t help but see why he wants to leave the Orlando Magic. Every year they promised to surround him with talent, but instead they brought in over-rated players with bloated contracts.

The only players that have truly performed for the Orlando Magic are JJ Redick, Ryan Anderson and Big Baby Davis.

And while they are all good players, they are not great players. Dwight has longed for a player that can make the game easy for him like a Deron Williams or Chris Paul. Dwight Howard has asked the Magic Front Office on countless occasions to bring in Talent like Monte Ellis, Chris Paul or even a Heavier set Raymond Felton.

We instead give him aged Jameer Nelson who has played well for the Orlando Magic, but is not going to lead Dwight and the Magic to the NBA Finals.

But as I mentioned earlier, The Brooklyn Nets have done everything possible this off-season to bring in the premier talent in the league to make a run at a Championship.

In fact, it looks like several teams this off-season have made it their mission to gather top veterans and free agents to ensure The Miami Heat do not take the crown in the 2012-2013 NBA Season.

Keep it locked here at Insider Sports as we uncover where Dwight Howard ends up… Right now the Magic are hoping Dwight flip flops after they sign long time retired Charles Barkley to a contract haha!
